Shipping & Returns

Once I've purchased my order, how long will it take to receive it?

Essentials by Nature orders are shipped out within 7-10 business days. As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number.

All International Orders ship through Canada Post.  The time frame can vary depending on customs, but it usually takes between 14-21 business days to arrive.

What should I do if my order arrives and the products are damaged?

Essentials by Nature reserves the right to deny the replacement of damaged products based on the product.  We will only refund/replace the damaged item(s) but not the entire order.

To begin the process, please email us at info@essentialsbynature.ca within 7 days of the order being received and include your order number, which products were damaged, and photos of the damaged product.

What is your return/exchange policy?

If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us to see if we can be of assistance.  If you receive a damaged product, we may offer store credit in lieu of a refund.

Due to the nature of our products, all sales through our website are final.

Local Pick-Up and Locations

Can I pick up my order locally?

At our production site located at 4246 91 A Street, Edmonton, We offer in-person shopping and local pick up of our natural products on Wednesdays only from 11am-6pm.

How does local pick up work?

As soon as your order is ready, we will contact you.  We will let you know when it is available to be picked up at our production site.  You can then pick up your items at that time, without needing to set an appointment.

Remember to bring your order number and confirmation email when picking up.

If you don’t pick up your purchase within 30 days, it will be canceled, and you will not receive a refund, exchange, or store credit. If you can’t pick up your order in time, please contact us and we’ll arrange to ship your order to you and send you an invoice for the cost of shipping.

Can I come visit the space and do some in-person shopping?

Essentials by Nature has expanded into retail!  In-person shopping is now open every Wednesday from 11am-6pm.  We are located at 4246 91 A Street, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Product Information

Where do you make all your products?

Essentials by Nature products are made from scratch at our production site in Edmonton.  The company sources a lot of materials locally, and collaborates with a number of suppliers in the area.  Our packaging is deliberately simple to minimize waste.

All products we sell are made in a safe and hygienic environment. We follow Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines when manufacturing all products.

Are essential oils safe to use?

All Essentials by Nature products are intended to be used externally and must never be applied to the body without first diluting the oil. We’d also like to remind you that people with allergies and conditions like sensitive skin should always perform a patch test before using.

When used correctly, essential oils are safe to use. For external use only, be sure to dilute. Consult your doctor if you have any questions or concerns.

Using citrus oils on your skin may increase your sensitivity to sunlight. Before or during sun exposure, avoid citrus oils. Rosemary oil should be avoided in hypertension and epilepsy. Clove and Wintergreen oils should be avoided if taking blood thinner If you have respiratory illnesses such as asthma, COPD, and allergies, be cautious when using peppermint, eucalyptus, and rosemary oil.

Are your products certified organic?

Essentials by Nature uses many organic ingredients in products that are all cruelty, sulphate, paraben, and toxin-free. All of our products have been extensively tested.

Are your products Vegan?

Our products are made with plant-based ingredients, but they are not certified as vegan.

Can I use Essentials by Nature products on my children?

Always dilute your essential oils before using them with children. Just like with any other product, make sure you read and follow the instructions on the label.

I'm pregnant, can I use essential oils? 

If you're pregnant or nursing, we suggest that you seek your doctor's advice before using essential oils.

Can I use essential oil products with my pets?

Some essential oils are not safe for your pets. Use essential oils with caution and speak with your veterinarian before use.

How should I store my essential oil and skincare products and how long do they last?

Keep your essential oils and natural skincare products out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Store in a cool, dry place.

All of our wellness products are made with natural ingredients and have a shelf life of up to one year.

Where do you source your ingredients and materials?

Essentials by Nature orders all of our supplies and natural ingredients from Canadian wholesale suppliers. We source products locally where possible.
